window won’t wind up

I have a 98 f150 and the window won’t wind up what is the problem and can i get it up at least temporarily for the rain

Do you hear the motor turning? if not that is a big clue that either the motor, relay, switch or wiring is faulty. If you do it means its probably a busted regulator, its a common problem for the rear GM cars sadly.

Yes, you can manually raise it up but you need to disengage glass itself from window regulator and then secure it in place. Jam a stick there or something. Taping it to the door trim works but does not hold too well.
From that on, you can investigate deeper. Is there 12 V at regulator plug? Switch? Fuses? Regulators are around $60 and easy to replace, so it may be the 1st thing to do, but it’s waste of time and $$ if there were no power supply to regulator.
