I’m assuming there is some difference. Compare the part numbers.
Are you trying to upgrade your brakes?
Keep in mind; if you want a bigger diameter rotor you will need a different caliper, bracket, and possibly hose. You also need to figure out if you can even mount the bracket to your hub. If the calipers are too much bigger than your stock calipers, you will need a different master cylinder.
You can, probably, get vented cross-drilled rotors and performance pads that are made to fit your car, but keep in mind: you should buy the rotors and pads as a set. Certain performance rotors will require a specific type of pad to work correctly. These pads are going to be expensive and will need to be changed more often than stock pads (especially if you’re going to be driving like a jack ass). So you’re going to be increasing your regular maintenance bill.
You’re probably better off just buying stock parts.Ok thanks for the info. Ya I can get rotors and pads for standard trim Sunbird’s. If I get ecomomy parts I should be good right? The only kit offered has ceramic brake pads. I was going to get semi-metallic, whats better?
I drive like a angel 😆One thing they don’t mention in this video is that you will get a different feel in the brake pedal with ceramic. You may feel as though the brakes aren’t stopping your car as quickly as they used to. This is an issue that comes up alot when customers request ceramics.
Can I just get Pronto Rotors & Bendix Semi-Metalic Pads? I know they aren’t a matching set but they are both under the “Economy” Section. I just really don’t want ceramics……
You can mix and match stock pads and rotors.
My point was that if you are buying performance brakes you should buy the rotors and pads as a set.
