I have a 2006 Grand Caravan 3.8 that just stalled at a set of lights yesterday and have had it towed back to the shop here. I turns over and starts briefly then will die and then just turn over strongly. I cleaned the throttle body and IAC but this did not help any. I connected fuel pressure tester and have no pressure when turn key on or turn it over.
The fuse and relay check out ok, so I’m thinking bad or clogged fuel pump.

I have a 2004 Caravan out back that I have used for other small parts to interchange before and was wondering if anyone knows whether or not the fuel pumps between these two are compatible. Be a lot of work to pull the one off the one in the yard, only to find out its not going to fit. Tried phoning around this morning but its a holiday for most people I guess, so I’m SOL in that regard!

Looking on the Rockauto site and I’m finding some models of pump that fit the 04 are good up to an 07 grand cara, but others that do not…

Call an auto part store or the dealer parts dept.

Double check…it appears the pump for your van shows a year range of 2005 through 2007…

I believe the 06 caravan has a returnless fuel system and the 04 does not so the pumps are different. To complicate things more I think it depends on the production date of the 04. (going by my not so good memory)

A call to a dealer or part supplier with the vehicle vin# in hand they should be able to tell you for sure.
