I made this video in response to some of the detractors of my Acura Vigor out there. I hope this video makes my argument that this particular vehicle might be the ultimate reliable POS. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for great video Eric.August 18, 2014 at 5:35 pm #613683I feel the same about my 1999 crv it’s not going to win a race. It still runs like new and looks great!!
On a side note. I think I have this whole forum thing figured out. So, my post should improve with photos! banana:

A long time ago, I installed an aftermarket CD player in my second car. The universal mounting kit had some additional pieces, which included a plate that snapped onto the front on the mount. I disassembled the factory radio, which lacked a cassette player, and glued the OEM cover, knobs, and a tinted piece of glass to the plate from the mounting plate. The OEM face was then snapped onto the mount to disguise the aftermarket unit underneath.
August 19, 2014 at 12:09 pm #613946Ive always like Eric’s 1993 Acura Vigor because it has features that are one of a kind for that year of vehicle. And i to like vintage Honda and Acura’s. I think Eric’s Acura Vigor is a perfect example of what a reliable POS is just like Eric stated. And hope to see more repair videos and ETCG 1 videos for it
August 21, 2014 at 12:47 am #614342I remember being at a gm dealer and someone brought one of those in for a starter. My fat hands have never been more upset with me.
August 22, 2014 at 1:18 pm #614664Eric, your Vigor reminds me so much of my Vauxhall Omega….

She’s got a 2.5 V6 and runs (touch wood) like a dream.
I one-thousand per cent get why you have it as a reliable POS and when I think about it… cos my OCD is bad this would actually make so much more sense.
However, I have taken a slightly different approach…. I’m doing up the minimal body work issues with new panels as i want to take this to shows. plus side is I get a great looking car (if youre in to it…lots of people dislike its looks) and the bad side is I’ve turned in to some sort of freak. I cant park it up without making sure its in the most secure spot, make sure several times its locked…. you get the picture lol
But anyway…. I really like the Vigor: old skool luxury
🙂
August 22, 2014 at 2:57 pm #614673Yesterday I was able to fix the last piece of the AC system (expansion valve). Monday I plan to make the system work again in a video. Now I’ll have a reliable POS where everything works. Too cool.
