why does he work on hondas alot. Is it because they are shit and always break down? or what??? they are annoying and things are done different on them to normal cars. you even need special tools for them.

He worked at a Honda dealership so he is proficient with them. They are also
One of the easier imports to work on. I still prefer domestics(USA) makes myself though.

I kind of wondered that myself – why so much attention to Hondas. Isn’t Honda a car that will “run forever”? So do they break down more than normal or less than?

This is just a speculation but anyways –
Some cars tend to attract abusive drivers. Older Hondas are high on the list. When you see a primer coated, lowered car with one of those noisy exhaust cans, you can bet it is a Honda. Why the street racers like Hondas, who knows?

No car can really stand up to constant abuse. So, they tend to break down from being pushed too hard. The SAME crowd who is out running their Honda into the ground are the ones who do not mind getting dirty. They turn to the web for fix-it help and that is where guys like Eric come in.

Think about this – How many times do we see “My Buick LeSabre messed up, how do I fix it?” Seldom. Why? Cause those cars tend to draw the older crowd who are NOT going to be trying to race 5.0’s. When something does break down (not often), they take it in so a real mechanic can deal with it.

Hondas are far from junk. They just get abused too often.

I, for one, am GLAD Eric is a Honda man. I have an Acura (basically a luxury Honda) so I know where to turn….

You got the “fast and furious” street racing youngins that race them and “modify” them and then you got the high school and college students that just care that they get them from from point A to point B and don’t maintain them. The older folk who drive them usually meticulously maintain them though from what I’ve seen.
