2003 Chevy Impala
57K miles
3.4L V6Had to have the head gasket and intake gaskets replaced around 2 weeks ago. Car has been running fine and still is only I noticed an anomaly tonight. Their is a whining noise coming from the engine that will only become extremely loud if the car is revved from idle rpm’s. I have been searching for a vacuum leak and and cannot find one, I haven’t used any carb cleaner yet as the engine was hot when I was checking. The noise appears to be coming from the area around where the alternator is and power steering fluid fill point is. If anyone can possibly assist me in trying to figure this out I would appreciate it. Here is a link to a video I took of the car. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzbDwvqcLYVyVjI0Y2RFajhXbXc
ps. I never want another GM car.
