      Hey everyone richkat here.
I have an issue with a 1993 Mazda Miata 1.6 L engine my sister didn’t check the oil,it sounded like a sewing machine(tap, tap, tap) .I sent out the head to have it reworked. After that my sister said:”do you think we should have the rest of the checked?”I said okay.I couldn’t send the block anywhere because the head was reworked at a head shop.So I went hunting for another block every where,I found one on ebay. The price was good,so I bought it. Now here is the issue:when I received the block it was packed very good. After taking out the block I noticed a package with the main bearing caps in a bag. That would have been okay if they were marked for placement into the block.
I have no idea which one goes where. How do I install them to have the engine work properly?Or will it not work?
      Help!! 🙁
Thank you for your time everyone,
      richkat. 🙂

With nothing marked it does not matter. No choice. Unless you send everything to
a machine shop to have everything honed.

Might have been easier and possibly cheaper to get a new engine for the NA MX-5
Heck a 1.8 from an NB would have made the ride much more fun to drive.

Might be able to use a dial bore gauge with them installed to see which ones go where?
