        Quoted From SVTDice:

Indeed, No need to yell. But is there a reason why you are dead set on Regular Oil? Why not Synthetic?t

OK tis is written in th owners manual for th e2003 pathfinder 4 wheel drive ,do not use a synthetic oil, I did do some research and it leads to the seals being damaged because they didn’t use the synthetic type compatible seals during that year Nissan sorry bout the caps yell not intended.

I removed the drain plug from the pan from this car I mentioned, nothing but clumps at first. These two friends of my fathers don’t do it anymore, poured in 4 quarts of convential oil with one quart of synthetic.Synthetic oil is not good for some engines, the GM 4.3 is known for this.Sounds like it is going to fall apart

I WOULDN’T ASSUME HE WAS YELLING. SOME PEOPLE PREFER CAPITAL LETTERS. SINCE HE DID NOT USE ANY EXCLAMATORY GRAMMAR I WOULD ASSUME HE LIKES CAPITAL LETTERS

My nieghbor Ken’s wife Becky had a 1999 or 2000 Chevy S10 with the 4.3.Someone talked her into using synthetic oil in this S10 she had.Sounded like something was falling apart.Drained the synthetic out and poured in convential oil which the noise went away.

Not because of the synthetic oil…OR you simply heard a lighter oil on startup at cold temp when metals in engine are most contracted than conventional offers.

Could have been a dry start or bad oil filter, sometimes pumps lose their prime, etc etc. can’t just assume guy.
