My front calipers on my 02 Honda CRV Ex need replacing and I’m looking to do it myself with quality remanufactured calipers. What brand is trustworthy and where is a good place to look? I’ve looked on ebay and amazon, but I have no idea if they are any good.

      Thanks in advance

Most parts stores provide a long term warranty with their parts. Most online dealers do not. And even if they do, you are required to redeem the warranty through the mail. When redeeming a warranty at an actual store, you have your replacement part with in minutes.
As far as quality of parts, any remanufactured parts have to meet relatively strict government regulated specs. The problem with reman parts is that there can be fatigued areas that show no sign of weakness until they fail. I’m not trying to scare you away from reman parts. I’m just stating facts.
Basically most reman parts, from a company that is licensed, will be of similar quality. OEM parts will be brand new and of higher quality and reliability. And then you can go to performance parts like Wilwood, Baer, Brembo, etc. These are race proven to perform beyond manufacturer’s specs in the harshest circumstances possible. Basically you get what you pay for.

Rock Auto has always been good to me.

I think most companies are all about the same. I see the odd bad one no matter whoes i install.

New is always better but the cost might be above your budget.

I would be checking around for a place with the best warranty.

Good post. Certain parts are serious I would never use “used calipers” . Stick to new parts especially when it comes to the braking system.

                I second Rock Auto.

Some manufacturers have “authorized” rebuilders. I would choose those.
