Where online can i get a valve cover gasket?
Some place that will ship to Toronto Canada?

I just installed a new block heater in my neon and noticed my valve cover gasket is sweating/leaking slightly. And I just did it like 80 000km ago.

I used a fel-pro gasket that i got at parts source and torqued it to spec.
I want to do it again but i don’t want to pay $60-$80 again. online they sell them for about 20 but not everywhere they ship to Canada.

Any reputable sites would be much appreciated
also suggestions on some gasket manufacturers that are good.

Have you tried snugging up the valve cover bolts again? Sometimes gaskets relax over time and this can lead to oil weepage or outright leaking.

To be honest, Fel-Pro gaskets are about the best you can get and FP even manufactures gaskets for many companies although they may be branded differently.
In fact, I’m pretty sure the AutoZone store brand gaskets are manufactured by FP also.

I 2nd on rockauto I love that place they have very fast shipping have all major brands of parts and they are also cheeper that auto zone I have checked apple to apple parts same brand same part # with auto zone and rock auto and rock auto is always cheep
last year I need a radiator for my wife cherokee auto zone wanted 265.00 rock auto was 156.00 same brand same part # Order it on a Thursday and friday It was in my hands:cheer: :cheer:

If you don’t want to spend the money you could try taking the cover off, wiping the gasket of any oil as well as the cover itself and where it sits on the head so it gets a good clean seal. I’ve had a gasket leak before and doing this fixed it. Im not familiar with your vehicle however and this was a Honda where this job takes a whole 10 minutes. If yours is going to be pretty involved then maybe just get the new one so you don’t end up doing it twice.

Ya my Valve cover gasket on my neon is also a very quick fix its just a few bolts and that’s it. My friend that works at parts source told me that it will leak more but he docent really know much. if it worked for u and its good i may try it. that’s what i wanted to do originally before my friend scared me off from that idea.

Thanks for the tip on taking the valve cover off and cleaning the gasket and re using it!
At first I was hesitant but it worked I did it about a month ago or so and its perfect! I took it off cleaned it with alcohol and the mating surface the metal head part with acetone to get the dirt off and re assembled it all with the proper torque and BINGO its like new! and it only cost me my time! thanks again guys! I am guessing if the gasket is rubber than its all good to reuse it!
