Where is the oil pressure sending unit

Trying to find out where the oil pressure sending unit is located on my 2005 Ford Freestar SE. I have done some Google searches but didn’t find anything.

pretty sure it is above the ac compressor

I looked it up. It is between the alternator and ac comp. Says you have to take the alternator off to get to it, but I dont remember if you can get it without removing the alt.

Looks like its a nightmare to get to then. I was hoping it was on the divers side of the engine bay under the engine mount.

Was hoping to hook up an bypass oil filter and take the oil from the sending unit. Doesn’t look like that’s possible 🙁

Just curious about why you would want to bypass the oil filter?

Its not to bypass the oil filter, a bypass oil filter takes about 10% of the oil and filters it though a much finer filter before returning it. So there would be a bypass filter and a full flow filter.

Interesting, I’ve seen dual filter set ups before but not like the one you describe. Thanks for that bit of clarification.
