check out this video, looks like the intake is coming off. you could get one at autozone, napa,or oriliys. if you have the money it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get it at the dealership. just had it do a job on my car twice because the part I received was defective. good luck.

August 26, 2013 at 4:35 pm #545132Often times you can get the part cheaper online. If I don’t need the part right away and have time to wait for it to be shipped I order on rockauto.com. Great place for parts!
August 27, 2013 at 12:07 am #545200Are you absolutely certain the knock sensor is bad or is this an educated guess?
August 27, 2013 at 2:02 am #545237yes they are bad so the scan tool told me
August 27, 2013 at 2:48 am #545252There is a service bulletin on your problem. I forget what it was but I will try and find it for you.
August 27, 2013 at 3:23 am #545295you may want to do the knock harness also.

August 27, 2013 at 4:17 am #545326what is the stuff to get around the knock sensors cuff to keep water off of the sensors
August 27, 2013 at 4:55 am #545331Knock sensors are fairly common on these. I recommend changing the two knock sensors and the harness to be safe, as stated above the intake manifold has to come off. Not a real hard job by any means. One tool you may not have is the fuel line disconnect tool. Yours being a 2000 you’ll need both the 5/16″ and 3/8″ since it has the return style fuel system.
August 27, 2013 at 5:21 am #545341This is partially what the TSB says about your problem.
After you replace the sensors, the TSB relates to those who have been washing their engines a lot. According to the TSB you have to pull the intake manifold and put a ring of RTV silicone around the knock sensor and replace the sensor.
I think this keeps the water from sitting around the sensors and rusting them out.
