It sounds like the vacuum supply for the HVAC system. Do all the modes work? or is it stuck on defrost.

they half ass work it’s more the speed control that doesn’t work tho that could be the switch or resistors. but it is from the HVAC I just don’t know where to plug it back in at there’s no little input to plug it back into

so i found out that its a line to the front axle vacuum actuator its right on the 2nd “T” connector the bottom end of the “T” the line hooks up to nothing and i have no idea where it goes I’ve been searching high and low on google but have yet to find any info helping me find where it goes

Ive posted this question once before but im going to post it one more time but with a little more info. first off i have a ’98 GMC Jimmy 4×4 with a 4.3L Engine its recently had an oil change and the tires are junk but runs great. I thought id give it a once over of the engine and i heard a hissing sound and found a small rubber tube that has some really bad dry rot. I figured id replace it but there’s a problem I cant seem to find where the little guy goes. its located at the top right of the engine bay (on the drivers side) of the vehicle. ive looked high and low for the little nub that its suppose to go on but i cant find anything i was told that it was part of the HVAC system but I’m not 100% sure thats what its to because it could also be part of the front axle vacuum actuator. i hope the picture help if not ill take a picture of it when i get the chance.

Are you sure it’s not a vent hose? Those vent the air pressure in the axle to atmosphere, the other end seems to go nowhere….

well for the mean time I just zip tied it closed so that my HVAC work properly seeing as that might be a big part of it. but GM made there ventilation system weird so if theres a leak in the front axle vacuum actuator then the HVAC wont work right so it might be part of both. but ive looked on the transfer case and didnt see any input for that little sucker and for the life of me i cant find the little black air canister and the hose isnt that long at all its maybe 3″ thats about it so it cant be to far away from the hose. But hey ive owned a dodge, chevy, and GM so heck it could be a hose that connects to another hose for all i no but ill get a picture of it and show you guys today And thanks for the Links bud ill see if i can locate where it goes with the information from them.
