Please let me know of examples where a customer brings in a car and you should refuse to work on it.

If half of the job was done by owner of vehicle and in the back seat or trunk.
If owner wants you to do a half-a$$ job to get them by.

If the owner of vehicle does not bring beer and pizza…..ok that last one was a shadetree mechanic joke.lol

Then the repair work is way out of owner’s expectations. I recently turned down a suspension work – the owner was expecting to spend under $1000 to fix suspension problem – but when I inspected the car, teiming belt was over due and over all condition of the car was terriable. So I told the owner to sell the car because you cannot spend $1000 to get that car in drivable condition.

Simply if the shop does it. Some shops only do suspension work, but my self, i’d look into how screwed up the car is. But i usually try to help them out and fix it (if i can do it).
