Its a 2003 hyundai accent 96,000 miles. It makes like a loud roar when going above 55mph very noticeable At 35mph still hear it but not as bad. It’s coming from right side of car a friend said the bearing felt hot don’t know if thats a good test or not. It has brand new tires the noise was there before tires were replaced.

This sound like a bad wheel bearing?

      Thank you

sounds like a wheel bearing, one way that is reliable, you can jack the wheel up, try to wiggle the wheel vertically, if it moves, then its pretty safe to say its a wheel bearing. althought, it doesn’t always move when its going bad.

The other ‘popular’ cause of a noise like that is the tires but since yours are new I don’t think that’s likely. You probably do have a wheel bearing issue. I actually show the test in this video.

After test driving it I’m really suspecting weak coil springs/strut. The noise does roar but it sounds more like something rubbing on the tire like maybe the body being to low. Going over bumps the noise pitches change with the bumps. When jacking up the car the struts do creak alot. When pushing on the back struts they do bounce a tad not bad but its there.
