Lately I’ve been feeling in a bit of a rut as far as my ‘car show’ viewing goes. Being in Canada, the selection of car shows available on TV are pretty limited. Especially since Speed ceased to exist. Just looking for some ideas on different things to try and get a hold of to watch.

One of my personal favourites is actually a Canadian show called Restoration Garage. It has so far avoided most of the usual reality TV type bull that some shows have fallen victim to. I’m looking at you Fast & Loud…. I like it, if anything maybe you will to. Here’s a YouTube link:

I agree, Restoration Garage is a good show, but I haven’t seen any new episodes in quite a while. A show that’s very similar is Fantomworks.

Two other shows I enjoy, because the mechanics/customizers seem to actually give a crap about their customers are Counting Cars and Rusted Development. And Cuban Chrome is interesting too.

Sadly, I think the car-themed shows have had their day, most of them seem to be airing perpetual reruns with no new episodes. The same thing happened to the custom bike genre a few years ago.

Roadkill. Just watch one episode and I guarantee you will love it.

Just look up Roadkill on YouTube. It’s awesome.

I’m pretty sure they only do 10 shows a year/season starting in spring. I did enjoy the first season of Counting Cars, because as you leuded to, it actually seemed like he cared. I’ll give the other shows you listed a look-see.

Believe it or not, I’m actually not much of a fan of Top Gear. It’s just not my thing.

Mine used to be Top Gear UK but, since that is no longer on I would say Fast N Loud aka Gas Monkey Garage. They were kinda hacks in the beginning but, seem to do some decent repairs/mods now.

Diesel Brothers makes me want to light someone on fire. Just an fyi guys in case you didn’t know those guys are idiots and make real diesel techs cringe. Though i guess that’s kinda the point with them.
