Two Lane Blacktop is available from the Criterion Collection on DVD. Libraries all over the country may have this edition, but it may not be in stock if you “walk in”, so ask for it. The Criterion DVD is re-mastered so the video is exceptional. This may be the widest wide screen movie you have ever seen at 2.35 to 1. The process used permits excellent depth of field (action in the foreground, mid-ground and background are all in focus). The director uses these features to tell the story. It’s an OK film on a small TV, but if you have a bigger wide screen set, it’s a great one.

Bullit (can’t forget that one)
Gone 60 Seconds ( Elonor)
The[i] Wraith ( sweet dodge concept car)
Smokey and the Bandit (all three)

The Green Hornet
Back to the Future http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjCRUvX2D0ESeptember 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #457800The ORIGINAL Gone in 60 seconds. The end of the chase was great.
“the Car” very old horror movie about a black car possessed by the devil
and my all time favorite “Christine” the 1957 Plymouth Fury ( how appropriate )My wife would vote for the Dukes of Hazzard movie for the General Lee of course.
Smokey and the Bandit and the 1st Cannon Ball run were fun movies back in the day too.

September 17, 2011 at 11:00 am #457802How about Herbie The Love Bug?
Gran Torino
Fast and Furious 1
And one of my favorites both versions of Death Race!
September 19, 2011 at 11:00 am #457803I have to Agree with DioFan, the ORIGINAL Vanishing Point is my favorite pure car movie. The remake was terrible. I do like Gone In 60 Seconds as well, but the jump in Eleanor kinda ruins it for me, that Mustang’s wheels would fall off. Also, the first Fast and Furious was awesome, ‘cuz it came out when I was like 22, and it almost made my buy a tuner, but thankfully, I stuck with the 5.0 Mustangs. Let the smack begin!!
September 27, 2011 at 11:00 am #457804Bullit, American Graffeti,The fast and the furios all, Hard driver,The car, The california kid,The blues Brothers. anything with a 1970-72 chevelle
October 8, 2011 at 11:00 am #457805All the Mad Max flicks,Two lane Black Top for sure, haven’t seen that one in a while. Even in Terminator the massive LTD really hauled ass and took a beating, and it was cool to see the light blue Eldorado burning tire too.
October 8, 2011 at 11:00 am #457806Mad Max!
October 9, 2011 at 11:00 am #457807It’s not a car movie, but I like the James Bond movie where Roger Moore is driving a Ferrari or so and running away from the bad guys and drives into the water and it converts into a mini sub.
October 11, 2011 at 11:00 am #457808I am not going to lie, Fast and the Furious got me in a DSM, it also got me called a ricer a lot for talking like I knew things when I didn’t. That motivated me to learn and eventually go to school for it. The move still reminds me of a good time in my life and that whole new excitement around import tuning back then is something I cherish and long for in ways.
Since it came out in 2001 I have owned a total of 9 DSMs.
