What’s the OBD2-USB cable model for 2009 Malibu?

I’m looking for a OBD2-USB cable which is able to connect my car to my computer and read the OBD codes by using some kind of software. Would you please help me? When I was planning to buy ELM327 cable from ebay, I found a guy in a forum said that he bought one, it didn’t work for his 2009 Malibu. The problem is that he’d like to reset his airbag parameter, and what I want to do is to read OBD2 codes from my car.

Certainly, if there is a cable for both read and write function, it couldn’t be better.

work on your car. No cable.

Actually, I’ve seen this video before. I found a forum that a guy said he was unable to reset his airbag parameter for his 2009 Malibu via his ELM327(OBD2 to USB cable, not blue tooth) cable. All I want to know is whether I am able to read codes via ELM327 or not for my 2009 Malibu. You know the cable is just around 30-40 buck, the problem is that I’m unable to buy a new one in store here, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Buying a new one from ebay or amazone is sort of time consuming job if I got a wrong one.

From everything I have heard about this product there are 2 software upgrades available that will allow you to reset Abs and Air Bag codes. As far as reading your Chevy Codes it should do that just fine straight out of the package.
