Recently I’ve been asked the question of what would I drive if I had unlimited funds. The answer might surprise you.

I’d be driving the car that Colorado plate OA 5599 belongs on.

        Beyond that, several vintage motorcycles.

Eric, completely get what you are saying, However, I would have to go with the Pagani Zonda R.

I would either have my 1990 VW Corrado G60 back, or the 2002 wrx wagon 5 speed turbo, i had. I loved that car, sti turbo and intercooler full cobb stage 2 kit, tein coilovers, i believe they were cusco sway bars, and sti wheels, it was the most fun ive ever had in a car.

I have only 2 possible cars, and hopefully maybe one day I can have both. 1. 2001 Mustang car I presently own. I want to build it top to bottom, modify it’s body slightly perhaps. I want to build the engine up, and the entire car suspension, trans, axle, everything. I have already started on it, and I guess for me, I am making it a part of me, who I am. I want to use it for road course racing events. Nothing to insane. I also want it to be a nice driver. I figure since I already own the car, and have done some upgrades to it. It would be cheaper to build this than to buy a new Cobra 1000.
The second car which I really like would be either a 69 or 70 Mustang Shelby which I would build up as well. Either way I want a car that I know inside and out. Welding on it and creating something better than the manufacturer made due to what is available now opposed to 1970.

Well I like what you said. I try and make my cars “my own” and can get very attached to them as well. $500 is the ideal starter price to pay for a car for me. However i did rent a probably 2013-2014 7th gen charger a few years ago and that was a lot of fun. Seemed to make similar structural noises at high speeds that my current car makes (although much higher), which made me think that maybe it wasn’t the best build quality. But you can always beef that up with modifications I bet, and it was a rental.

What you said about looks totally applies to me for the chrysler 300. I loved that car when it came out, when we had the entire 90s in love with shitty curved everything! (eg ford taurus). Gimme my damn rectangles back everycarmaker of the 90s!!! So when the 300 came out around like 2004, it was new and had nice lines, and so I said “i will buy that in 15 years when its $500”, and perhaps one day i will.

But i never sat in one, and there is not always enough leg room in cars for me to just pick anyone i like. The windows from the outside look a bit small. But the look is right, so who cares about the maintenance nightmare that a chrysler probably is!

Those, or pretty much any older muscle car that you would see at a car show. An impala SS or Pontiac GTO from the 60s. But then I would never want to take it out of the parkade. I couldn’t ever park it in a stall parking spot like at a mall. Its better if you can beat around a car a little bit and not worry.

R35 GTR Drivetrain in a Foxbody Mustang or into a 1969 Camaro but not sure if I could cut up a 1st gen Camaro. I love builds like that.

                  Otherwise Hennessy Venom GT

Honestly, I would get my civics and mod them both to where they are fast but still fun to drive. I plan to mod them both with nothing stock left in them except the cosmetics and body of course. I want them both to be sleepers but I do not want them to be drag cars by any means no. I do not like a car where it is all about the ponies and how fast it can get to 100. I like acceleration but I want it to be a sleeper so yes have power steering, ac, good sound system, and still be able to take on a couple of the more common race cars out there that have no mods in them. Make it a fun car to drive. One where you can be at the light, take on the guy with a big ego because he just bought a 30000 dollar mustang that pulls 400 horses and wants to show it off but you take your little slow civic and show him it is not about what car you drive but how you personalize it and just to make it more embarrassing for him, ill blast “in the summertime” by Mungo Jerry and just drive off laughing it off. It is not about the speed it is about the fun. people out there can have a car with 10,000 horses in it and say they are the fastest to where no one would dare race them but hey if it was a car you had to go and put 20 seat belts on and then go manually start it by jumping it because a battery adds weight and it would slow him down by just a split of a second but he needs that because ponies and then you have to hunch down to be able to sit in there because aerodynamics. it just would not be fun for me.

Good question, and one I ask myself often. Maserati Bora? Tatra T87? Nismo R35 GTR? 1968 Charger? 1950 Merc Kustom? Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. I want to drive them all, at least once. Given unlimited funds, I’d put together a collection that’s equal parts Jay Leno and Jeff Lane, and I’d work on all of them.

I would have a fleet of all my favorites if money were no issue.
69 Corvette Stingray, Camaro and the Roush Mustang to name a few.

If I had to pick one? Third Gen Acura Integra.
Been my project for a couple of years now so I’m kind of attached to it.
