What would you call this part?

95 Tercel. I was taking the PCV valve out and I cracked the thing, seat or whatever it sits in. It’s the black ring. It has hairline cracks in it because I thought it was part of the valve and tried to pry it up with a screwdriver. The red thing is the valve, which I broke off. Bad day! :cheer:

It’s called a grommet. PCV Valve grommet to be exact. 🙂

I will just add that you should not feel bad about breaking it. Those things get very brittle with age, heat, and oil vapors and it’s common for them to break even if the utmost care is used.
