All 4 of our heavy engine guys love theirs. I want one in the 3/8 and 1/2 but don’t do enough heads to justify the purchase yet lol.

Needed this 5mm swivel in 1/4″ to pull a valve cover on a duramax Friday. And this 2007 Saturn vue had some massive a/c schrader valves and had to pick this little guy up also.
Picked up a rear axle nut socket for the 1 ton’s I had to do a seal on the other day aswell lol

Yup. I’m programming it as I go. So far Subaru, Honda 1.5/1.6 and 2.3’s, Gm 3100 and 3800 and 5.3/6.0 and Ford 4.6 and 5.4 heads. The next time I do those will be so sweet.

With the tech angle I do them on the frame and save myself about 4 hours by no R&R the engine
June 30, 2016 at 9:40 am #861609Yeah, I do them “in-car” too even before the tech angle but very carefully watching the final angles with a (less accurate but good enough) angle gauge.
July 16, 2016 at 3:28 am #862957I’ll be buying more tools soon , I’ve just bought a house so I will some new stuff :woohoo:

July 30, 2016 at 3:32 am #864063I took delivery this week of a Husky 33” tool cart. It was the same price as the Harbor Freight tool cart but higher quality. Hoping that once organized, it will help increase my efficiency. Can’t wait to use it Monday 🙂

A cart is a great way to save time by not going back to your main box all the time. You just need to keep your 90% needed tools on it.
August 1, 2016 at 1:11 pm #864282Just bought lightly used Vise Grips made in the Peterson plant 10R, 10WR, 7WR, 5WR, 6LN. Had the taiwan made ones and they gave me a severe bone bruise on my left thumb joint because the release handle bent and had to pry the handles apart to release it. I tried snap ring pliers to no avail trying to prevent hurting myself.
Basically every tool is getting cheaper and I am really starting to get concerned about the safety of them any more.
August 7, 2016 at 4:14 pm #864836Eric,
Your use of specialised hose pliers gave me an ‘Ah Ha!’ moment, ‘Boy could I use a pair of those!”. Well I visited Victoria Market in Melbourne today and, as usual, stopped at the tool shop and bought a pair. Cost was $13AUD, pretty good I thought. Of course I did not get out of there before I had bought a 10 and 12mm T-Handle ‘nut runner’ that you have also demonstrated. $7AUD each. I should probably got a 14mm as well which would have covered most of the fasteners on my motorcycles and my cars as well. This led to my buying a door card removal tool, $8AUD, something I have always wished I had, plus another couple of tools, one I have also previously needed and another extending light and magnetic pick up tool.
Not bad considering I only went there to buy an Australian Flag patch!
Thanks for the inspirations!
Andy
