nice!
October 1, 2013 at 3:45 pm #547514Last three tools were a Kincrome deflecting beam type 3/8 drive torque wrench. It can do 10-120Nm. 10 – 90 Ft/Lb for North American folks.
Mitutoyo 0-25mm external Micrometer.
And a 10mm 3/8 inch drive socket. A good (read; ‘skinny’) 12 point one. It made the difference between having no access with a cheap/fat socket and having to cringe while using an open end spanner  to having the bolt out in about two seconds.
Considering these aren’t for trade use, most people would call my purchases insane. But I have become impatient and stroppy with the whole ‘D.I.Y’ tool market here in Australia/New Zealand. So now I can go trout fishing with a nuclear bomb πΏ Which is much more enjoyable and less frustrating than going whaling with a sewing needle, if you get what I mean…

October 2, 2013 at 12:47 am #547625Nice to be here after a while π
I very very recently got my forbidden dream to come true: I purchased the best cordless impact in the world, that is an Ingersoll Rand W7150.
Here it is :cheer:
This thing is awesome, it took off the axle nut with the wheel removed (only 1st gear was in to prevent it spinning) and without straighening the axle nut “lip”.
Before
After
Back on!
Incidentally, it was my very first ebay buy in the US, so this added to the excitement :woohoo:
So now I have all the torque I can possibly need in my life, and without those darn air hoses and very noisy compressor (small, 6 gallon, but very noisy and always charging! :S )
Now next things on the list are some serious deep impact sockets/swivel joint/extensions and a 100nm torque stick for my tires π (or should I say to not to strip out all my wheelnuts with that monster torque? π )
I reccomend this to all of you wich are in a similar situation, that is you need air tools but can’t afford the space and noise and electrical power of a huge compressor.
I mean , I use this in a garage which is 3.5 meters wide by 5.5 meters long; and occasionally I need to use it in scrapyards or elsewere very far from a compressor, and this works gorgeous!I bet it could take out even an honda crank bolt! π
That’s of course IMHO! π
Live long and prosper (and stay dirty!)

October 24, 2013 at 10:29 pm #556916Bought a sweet pair of 45 deg hose clamp pliers a few weeks back. Bought a new pair of wire crimpers that I ended up taking back since my old ones work better.
