Well , this is not directly automotive related, but since I needed this tool to put some more shelves on my little garage’s walls to free up space on the floor to be able to do repairs on my cars, I’d call it a “loosely-automotive-related-tool” 😛

I purchased a rotary hammer drill, since every time I had to put a fischer anchor in the concrete walls it was a nightmare with my hammer drill.

I waited…and waited…and waited for the offer in the Lidl discount shop near here.

        And finally it came!

A Parkside rotary hammer drill, with 3 joules of impact power , 1050Watts of electrical power and a nice dual drill (one is SDS-Plus, the other for normal drill bits) and accessory pack , and its carrying case too!
        All for only 55,90 euros

I have to say that not only it eats through concrete with ease (and no strain on my physical strenght!) , but it drills good holes, with sharp edges, very good for fischer anchors.
Also it doesn’t wander around , and more importantly, I don’t burn up a drill bit each two holes! :woohoo:

Since I’ve purchased it I have spent more time in screwing the screws in the anchors, than on drilling the holes! 😆 :silly:

Lotsa more space on my floor to crawl around and under the car now!

So I can get MUCH MORE DIRTY now! :woohoo:

Live long and prosper you all (and stay dirty!)

my last tool purchase was actually my first Snap on purchase and maybe last at least from this person.i bought a 1/4 in universal 5 piece socket set for like 120. i dont really use them but they are handy but the 13mm does not move freely and the snap on guy all he says is it will free up soon on its own.

Last tool I bought was an Impact Wrench for around $400. One of the best things I’ve bought so far.

My most recent tool purchase was a set of metric offset box end wrenches, and a set of 3/8″ wobble extensions in an attempt to get access to a stubborn front wheel bearing bolt without tearing the knuckle off the car.

I am happy to report that the wobble extensions worked wonderfully.

Prior to that, I went on a shopping spree lol, and bought a front wheel bearing adapter set, and a new torque wrench.

Long reach needle nose pliers. Straight and bent tip.

I admit they are Harbor Freight, but the pair were like $9 !
