      2004 santa fe 2.7
      The sensor located right above the starter, is it the crank or cam position sensor.

          Yes a picture would help for sure. Could even be the oil pressure switch/sender

            Got it. It’s the cam sensor. To change it remove the starter cover and use the thinnest walled 10mm socket (a well made socket would be to thick) you can find. It was real tight but got it out. The insulation on the wires totally disintegrated.
            The local hyundai service Manger assisted with this info and it was a fairly easy repair.
