It’s been a long road and I thank those of you that have stuck with us through this transition and welcome those of you that are new to ETCG.com. Special thanks to Onyx for all his hard work on the site, he truly deserves the title “Webmaster”, so be sure to thank him for all of his hard work when you get the chance.
So this will be the place where you can open up about the new site. What do you like? What do you NOT like? What would you like to see more of? What would you like to see LESS of? What do you think about the new forum? So many questions as well as those that you might have so fire away I’d love to hear your feedback.

Love the site, but I think it could benefit if all the user info was to the left and the post was to the right. Instead of the giant blank space separating every post.
Anyone know why some of the posts seem to be cut off? Many of the threads I bring up have only a couple lines in the post and then the next post is shown….also usually cut off.
Am I missing something?
no it was an issue with the forum port, if the post is absolutely needed i will go back and restore it.

It appears that only the old posts that were carried over are like that.
yeah im trying to figure out what happened but at this point itl have tho be restored by hand sorry about that.

I was beginning to wonder if this was just me. It’s been a bit tricky to go through and figure out what has and hasn’t been discussed on some of the active posts.
Overall though, I LOVE this new forums. When we were testing, there weren’t any posts on the forum section, so I wasn’t sure what was in store, but I’m really diggin’ it. Thanks Onyx for doing such an awesome job, and thanks to you Eric for investing in the rebuild.
I gotta give you guys who work behind the scenes credit, I know this was a lotta work. Overall I like the new format.
Only serious negative issue is the truncated old postings, which is unfortunate. Presumably that will be less of an issue in a few months, though the search feature will be limited for those threads that are important to people looking for answers.
Depending on the topic i will try and restore it if its absolutely mandatory to have or is a wealth of information.
I agree, the cut off posts are pretty disappointing…
I’m basically skipping over all of the older threads.
I like the new setup though!
Also, it seems to show all the older posts were created by “EricTheCarGuy” … as opposed to the real author.
Well I love the new site mainly because I couldn’t login for about 6 months for some reason!!! I emailed Eric a few times over the months and he didn’t have a way of fixing it so I got screwed and had to sit and wait until the site was revamped. My main topic that was about 4 pages long where a lot of people helped me get my car back up and running is GONE. 🙁 I would very much like to make some updates to that topic so if possible please get that one back for me.
Eric has been an inspiration for me in working on my car and I’d really like to get that topic back so everyone can read how Eric has positively affected my life. Beefy and Dreamer were encouraging too so it’s great to hear they are still around and helping more than ever.
It’s great to be back on the site finally. Thank you webmaster whoever you are!
