Hey all,
Lets say someone said they would give you your dream car but only one catch and that is you have to paint it White.
So what color White would you all pick?

I’d be more interested in the quality of the paint than the color. My wife’s WRX is a good example. From the factory Subarus have crummy paint. However, the first owner had the car keyed and got it repainted. Well, the Subaru lives a typical Subaru’s life – stuck in a too narrow parking spot for hours at the Mall or the Library the car has acquired on it’s Subaru racing blue, donor paint of all colors. The most recent was a large patch of gray. Anyway, it always rubs out. Thick clear coat it seems.

I am thinking like a solid Oxford White or performance white that is compounded and buffed. Easy to repair and not too expensive.
Someone suggested pure aspen white on another forum but that looks toooo white to me.

The Subaru, on the other hand, has clear that I will sand and not get into the color. To bring it back to luster I use three grades of professional compound with a buffer. Products found at Walmart won’t do it.
In the end you just have to accept the fact that paint is on the car to keep it from rusting. The best wax and polish in the world will only attract a shopping cart.
February 23, 2014 at 8:08 am #583332Matte white probably. Do I have to paint the wheels white too?
February 23, 2014 at 9:09 am #583342Most certainly! 😉
February 23, 2014 at 4:42 pm #583398Here in Wisconsin I would pass on a white car (White car + white snow = bad idea) Even though I own a white beater car. That being said I would say a color of Antique white.
February 25, 2014 at 12:49 am #583687Don’t worry where I live is hot and humid with ZERO snow year round. Snow is not a problem for me. Never heard of antique white before. Looked it up on a Dupont color chart and not bad at all.

April 15, 2014 at 4:39 pm #594042Of course colors matters a lot for anything whether it is big or small. Talking about the car, than no doubt everyone has their own liking and interest in color choice of their cars. But my interest is related with either completely White or Splashed white with respect to color selection for the car.
