IR 2hp 20 gallon. Before that I had a campbell hausfield unit. Not sure on the specs of that one but it was passed onto me and at least 20 years old. At work we have two 120 gallon speedaires.

The one I have at home is an old Cambell Hausfeld 26 gallon that I have been using for about 17 years. All I have done to it is change the oil and have changed the plug a couple times.

I have an Emglo 4 Gal stacked tank air compressor with a 20 Gal reserve tank. Those stacked tank contractor compressors have a high pump output so it fills up pretty fast. The only problems I have are when I bust out the die grinder. That and it doesnt like to start in the cold :

                      Wow.

I never used airtools, didn’t want to dump a bunch of money into a first compressor, so I went with a Harbor Freight 10gal. After break in, fills quick, not too loud (I have other tools that are much louder). Plus its more than enough to run 1/2 impact and air ratchet. Not bad for under $150. Its proven the value of air tools to me, when it goes I’ll look into getting something bigger.
