I just changed my back brakes with new pads and new rotors. I cleaned everything and all the parts went back on great. Then when I got on the road I noticed a very loud noise coming from the passenger side back brake when I turn left. What could be causing this new noise?? I did not install cheap pads.

Hard to say… Pop off the wheel and have a look, you could have forgotten to tighten something down or installed something incorrectly…

Since you didn’t tell us what you’re driving I will take an educated guess at your problem. If you didn’t replace the rotors it could be rust build up rubbing the splash shield or you don’t have the abutment clips installed correctly and the rotor is rubbing against one.

Remove the wheels and take a close look.

Did you bleed the brakes? Also I believe it can be normal for new brake pads to have some noise , you can Google it. T

              FIXED

Thanks for the suggestion, I did some troubleshooting this morning. I zip-tied the caliper out of the way, removing it from the equation and took it for a test drive going for all the left turns I could find. The noise persisted. So, the only other thing it could be was the brake drum inside the disc for the e-brake. I turned the adjuster knob a few clicks to make it tighter when using the e-brake. I also noticed that there was some unusual wear under the brake drum/e-brake assembly, and I tapped it in with a hammer. Put everything back together, took it for a ride, hit many left turns and didn’t hear the grinding noise anymore!!

That’s a great story. I read your post yesterday, tried to think of a cause and drew a blank. But, a new rear rotor means a new unworn and tighter emergency brake drum.

Nice find! Usually when you have a noise like that after doing work it’s a good idea to go back over that work to make sure everything is together correctly. Good idea on eliminating the caliper as a suspect. More info on finding noises here.

Wifes car is making a noise. I clipped the GoPro onto the wheel well and recorded it.

                    Is this the same noise?
