Hi everyone,
I have a 93 civic si.
just recently i noticed a weird sounds that only happens when i am engaged in gear when i am both accelerating and decelerating . It makes a sound that is similar to a whirling sound or plastic being dragged on the floor but not to that extent; it is more like just a smaller version of that. it sounds more internal. i had my hand on the shifter while is was on gear and accelerating and it felt like something grinding and it gave a faint vibration. I’ve also revved it while i was on neutral and the sound went away. Now I’ve done some research and i came up with several possibilities and just wanted to know what you guys thought.
I figured it was one of these possibilities:
The transmission is going.
The flywheel is causing it.
or it could be the clutch ( but I just changed it recently)i don’t know if this would help but when i was in reverse it didn’t make the sound.
Thanks for you input :side:
