hello all,
Last nights maintenance was successful. Attachments should work now as well as a notification that you have a PM are enabled unless you have turned them off. The forum was updated and seams to me working quicker and the template is new, I will be tweaking it as i go. if you run into any issues let me know in this thread and we will go from there. Also the rank avatars are broken for the time being, will look into them more after the holidays.

There comes a point where if people are running old o/s and browsers on everything that there is no backwards compatibility to them. There just comes a time where its time to move forward with more secure applications that keep backwards coding for the older items. but i do my best. right now we are pushing HTML 5 support on everything.
The new site is really cool and working well on my computer. HOWEVER – my old eyes ( even with my glasses ) are not digging the lite orange font color. if you darken it up to the same shade as the ” thank you button ” it would be perfect. thanks –

I fully agree with what you’re saying but there are some who can’t afford to repair their cars let alone upgrade their computers.
True, but you would be amazed how many have smart phones that the site works perfectly fine one. and the site is going to a more modern browser/ cell phone/ tablet arena to work with the way people use their devices now
Been getting some emails of people that have subbed to topics that are getting spammed with email. i made some changes to it, where you cannot subscribe to sections just topics. IE you cannot sub to every email that comes in on the service and repair forum, but if you post on a topic in that forum then you will be subed and ONLY sent 1 email that someone has responded and no more emails no matter who responds to it till you check the post and then you’ll get an email for the first post after you leave the forum. Well see how this does. Remember you can unsub on a particular topic using the unsubscribe button. once it changes to subscribe then you are no longer subscribed unless you post on the topic or you press the button.Hopefully this helps with the unintended spam affect with the forum.

Is there any way that you can make the private messages tab font larger (the one on the top of the screen) or stand out in some other way… or possibly some other notification like a pop up when you log in or receive a PM?
It is a little small up there in that corner and some times I just don’t notice it….

Looks like i fixed the uploading errors on the site and should be working now, test it and let me know if you see any issues. Also am working on speeding up the site more by caching some pages that are not changed often so if you notice issues there too let me know. Then then Party Away! Stay Dirty!

Looks like the google captcha deal on the password reset and username retrieval broke. They are fixed now and working as they should. Rock on! banana:
