Is there anyway to see if there is a leaky water pump without actually getting to it?

      Notes:

-Temp gauge is starting to go up a bit and coolant reservoir is not staying full.

-No visible leaks from the upper radiator hose or near glove box or passenger floor (from heater core).

-Current water pump and timing belt are around 150K in age.

-thermostat is around 18 months old

-I am not getting any hot air

      Thanks!

1st thing I would do is check the oil. If you can’t see any leaks but you’re losing coolant, it may be a blown head gasket causing coolant to get into the oil. Look for that and a raised oil level.

Suggest you pressure test the cooling system.
That well at least show if the system is capable of holding pressure, If not, it may show you an external leak you are not aware of.

If you suspect your losing coolant but have no tell tale signs.
Might do a leak down test on each cylinder and look at the open radiator for bubbles.
