Hi All I have a 2000 buick century and all of a sudden after it rains I am getting water on the passanger floorboard. I think it is coming from the cabin airfilter area does that sound right.

        Two possibilities here.

1 – leak from the windshield seal or possibly leaking from around the passenger door seal. on a dry day get the hose out and sit in the car and have someone blast away at those areas as you watch for leaks.

2 – could be a leaking heater core. when they go bad they leak on that side and the passenger carpet gets wet. a cooling system pressure tester will help check for this.

One more possibility comes to mind. If the condensate line (AC drain) is stopped up or the drain hose is dislodged it will also leak in the floor on the passenger side.

If it happens after it rains then it’s likely to be leaking from the outside. #1 on my list is the windshield. I have seen occasions where the metal under the windshield rots away causing a leak. If you’ve had a windshield replaced then I would look there first.
