Great video if you want to bust stuff. I don’t recommend this procedure at all. I guess its to remove carbon? water does not break down carbon.
well if we all get a post for a Honda making engine noise after cleaning the engine. we at least got a jump on the cause.(LoL) W-|February 25, 2012 at 11:00 am #457068No comment… lol
February 25, 2012 at 11:00 am #457069i was just thinking of this because i heard when a head gasket is blown and coolant leaks into the cylinder that it is clean. would this be ok on a 2 stroke? i feel like it would starve the bottom end of oil so if you could put it in a compression release hole that could work i dont think i would do it. maybe id test it on an old mower

February 25, 2012 at 11:00 am #457071Yes, I’ve seen it done but as part of an aftermarket supercharger install where water gets injected automatically anytime you are in boost – (used to cool the intake charge rather than use an intercooler) and they state that the cleaning of carbon inside the combustion chamber is a beneficial side effect. The pro’s have stuff that they run through the intake that does the same thing just a lot faster.
The amount of water he is introducing into the engine will probably do nothing. Look at the quantity Duane uses on an engine:

February 26, 2012 at 11:00 am #457074I have to agree with college man, water does not break down carbon. This will not clean engine carbon deposits in the engine just create a little smoke at the tail pipe.
