I have a 99 Grand Caravan. I had the heater pipes replaced and now the wiper fluid gushes out from under the van. I think the repair shop did something to it. I can see where the hose goes down on the driver’s side but it just stops!! All the fluid is now on the ground under my van!! I taped the passenger side with electical tape because when I took it back to the repair shop, they saw that it was leaking but said they didn’t mess with it.

I had hoped that taping it [it isn’t under pressure and it is just a flex hose.] would fix my problem. Sadly, it didn’t.

So my question is where is the line/tube for the drivers side?

I am assuming, based on how the fluid is running out that the pump is under the crowl. When I hit the washer button fluid runs out from the TOP!

      Thanks!!

      In His Grace,

      Karen, RN and Mechanic

usually there is one line that gets Teed into to feed other
areas.you will need to follow the line were it goes until the
break is found.then take a piece of the tubing with you to the
auto part store to match it up.then replace the broken piece.

I KNOW where the leak is..the hose is NOT connected..it just ENDS! The hose I am speaking about is located on the drivers side going back toward the back of the van. It is just laying on the frame not going ANYWHERE! I can get my hand in the area and have been able to hold the hose in my hand. I can NOT feel the other part of the hose. Does anybody have a diagram of how the wiper hoses are laid out under/behind the engine?

I am seriously begining to think that my mechanic screwed this up. When I took the van in to have the heater pipes replaced [at a cost of $680.00] the wiper fluid worked and now it doesn’t. At first I thought they left the motor unplugged, but it is working. The rear washer works! I pumped 1/2 gallon of washer fluid on the ground under my van!

          Thanks!!

I agree, it’s really difficult for us to say where the leak is. You’re going to have to follow the line to see where the break is. At least you have a general area to work with. Keep us posted on your progress.
