Did complete suspension conversion lincoln navigator from air ride to coil overs.

Changed one front upper ball joint.

Wired bypass module for air suspension.

Charged total labor. $180

I think that is very fair. A dealership would be 4x as much.

That’s not only a very fair price but if anything I’d say it was actually too cheap.

Someone carping over the labor charge?

There’s a certain segment of people out there who think that any labor charge is too much. Some would say 25 bucks is gouging on that.

I usually take 3 factors into account when “estimating” a job. 1) book time or a calculation of how long it might actually take me 2) the degree of difficulty involved, or how much swearing it may involve to be more accurate. 3) how much I like the person and how much money they have.

Unless you’re married to them or have known them your whole life, it sounds like you let them off REALLY easy. I would have easily charged that price per axle. They’re driving a Lincoln Navigator and having aftermarket suspension installed. Each suspension kit was probably $1500 or more, they probably have ridiculous rims on there. If they are crying over $180 let them cry elsewhere.
