Eric, what don’t you like about Cadillac Northstars? You grunted about them when you saw something Cadillac Northstar related, in your tool video.

everyone, what are the common symptoms or problems, that need service or repair more than usual? or what dont you like about them.

      thanks for the videos.

Thanks for the offer but I didn’t have a week to wait. Besides the cost of shipping wouldn’t be worth it.

Very true, I just hate it not being used. We don’t have a ton of Caddys here, that tool has sat so long the paint is flaking off.

granted they had there teething issues many claim the later versions are good if you keep up the maintinance… a spacific version of the Buick Lucerne has the Northstar V8 as a option rather than the 3.9 Liter (why they replaced the 3.8 with that thing i will never know.)

but when it comes too the engines GM uses in transverse mounted front wheel drive cars, the two engines that are king are the Supercharged 3800 V6s, with a few simple modifications like smaller SC pullies not too small! larger fuel injectors, high performance ignition coils and oversized plug wires, and aluminom ratio rockers and a good PCM and i have seen over 300HP too the wheels and with a turbo conversion i have heard of over 500HP too the wheels, but thats after some modification

and of coarse no one can forget the LS-4 5.4L V8 they put in the Pontiac Grand Prix GXP and i think is it the Chevy Impala SS? but before that came into the sceen the Northstar was quite a common engine too swap in for V8 power for a lot of W body platform cars and even Fearos
