Walmarts new Pennzoil Synthetic

Does anyone know if Walmart’s new Pennzoil Synthetic oil is actually a step down from Platinum? It meets/exceeds less categories than the platinum but of course cost the same.

Purolator also makes the Silver lines.

I haven’t found out who makes NAPA’s “Platinum” lines yet.

So – my point – “Gold”, Platinum”, “Diamond”, “Dung” could be made by anyone with ANY quality. And considering WalMart’s reputation, I would think any filter made for them – they DO get special manufacturing lines set up just for them – that their filters are made out of cotton balls and old Chinese men’s scrotums.

i work at a jiffylube at the moment and we just recently got new penzoil synthetic oils as well, made based from natural gas’s..now i haven’t really heard any customers say they absolutely LOVE it, but the benefits listed seem pretty nice and the advantages over the regular synthetic seem legitimate BUT at the same time, it could all be a marketing scheme.. and at my shop when you get the new synthetic, we give a gas card for 1.25$ off a gallon of gas up to 20 gallons and 20$ off your next oil change..so that’s why most of the customers choose it in the first place
