Wait For Them To Get The Bugs Out

Do you have to wait a year for the manufacturer to get the bugs out of a new build. Specifically the new 2020 Toyota Corolla that is now going to be assembled in Mexico instead of Cambridge, ON, Canada.

Just my opinion, I would wait a year. These days, the build is so automated that the bugs with the build are probably worked out quite quickly. Now the issue is the quality of the software in the ECU, body modules, transmission module, etc. There will always be bugs in that software, it’s just a matter of how severe they are and how long they take to fix. Think of it his way, WIndows 10 probably has several thousand latent bugs in it, but how many do you ever see? Probably not many, however the likelihood of a big bug being uncovered would probably happen in the first year.
