Hello Experts,
My sequoia has a new problem. 2 weeks ago, I spray a bottle seafoam cleaner and lube(the spray vison seafoam) from the intake air to clean the carbon. When test drive, there was no any difference. But, after a while VSC OFF and VSC trac lights were on. Well, keeping driving, and no any difference as before. Shut off the car, and restarted it, lights gone. After a day, they came back. Shut off car, sometimes they just disappeared, sometime they still here. They just like ghost, sometime showing, sometime not.I know vsc is related with brake. Yesterday I was driving on highway with these two lights on, I smell some strong metal burning. I inspected four wheels, they are hot, but not crazy, and four wheels are similar temps( just feel, similar temps). I am not sure the smelling was coming from my car, because it was traffic time, so many cars jammed on highway. I am worry about this problem will burn my brake parts oneday without any notice.
I tried to read code, but no code found. Car drives like normal. I did some research about this, seems like a common problem for many toyota cars. And everyone has different answer and solutions. Also, some people do not recommend to bring it to a dealer, they think dealer will not fix it. They just bill you for a reason, and after while these lights will be back again.
I hope car experts can give me some ideas, what causes this problem and how to fix it.
Thank you!
