hey ericthecarguy forum,
I have a question regarding the cooling system in my volvo v40 1998.
A few weeks ago the lower coolant hose blew of the rad, the hose clamp was rusted and broke.
I replaced the hose clamp and filled the system back up, did the bleeding procedure as discribed in the 2002 Cavalier Water Pump Replacement (Part 2) video. The problem i am having now is that the enige is running very cool(25% on the gauge) when on the highway.
When i let the car idle it reaches normal temp after a few min.
I have bled the system 3 times now, the fan only kicks in for a few secondes though.I am wondering if the thermostat is stuck open or am i just unable to bleed the system properly?
any help is much appreciatedthanks
