I know what you are thinking -warped discs- …

I had changed the original Discs to Brembo’s and Brembo pads.
(Pads where worn but discs where still ok but though would do both at the same time…can’t hurt can it..

I did as described with the discs and pads for the break in period and after 300km all is well.
Then I drove to Holland (1000Km) and while driving there I noticed the steering wheels started the tremble under braking.
More and more…first only at high speeds then also lower…sometimes bad sometimes not noticeable

Very weird but ok had the discs resurfaced and changed a slightly worn balljoint and tie rod end and some suspension rubbers. yay all is well again…for about 500km
Then it started again…getting worse and worse again.

So I changed back to the original discs and yay all is well again….for a few 100km…
Guess what ?!?!?! it started again.

Does anybody have any clue what could cause this?

Sucks about the part. Hope you get that sorted out.

As for the braking problem. You mentioned driving it hard. This is likely the cause of your problem. If you drive the vehicle hard, you’re hard on the brakes. With enough heat even brand new brakes will warp. The brakes you have are set up for stock applications. You might consider upgrading to performance brakes if you’re going to be driving the vehicle hard.

Good luck and keep us posted.

          Hey Eric,

          Thanks again for thinking along.

When I mentioned I have driven the car very hard I meant I had done so on a few occasions.
And non of those happened after the first change to the Brembo discs/Pads.

I now have also replaced al the brake fluid and bled all the brakes lines.

Also changed the power steering fluid and the last balljoint (Tie end) that had not been changed yet.

For this I used a old big bicycle water bottle with a tube I would squeeze the air out of the bottle and when letting go of the bottle with the hose submersed in the brake fluid and power steering fluid it would suck it up.

I will also change the axle as one boot has a little hole in it since the last time it was at a “Specialist” in Holland.

Also noticed a minor sideways play in the axle carrier bearing.

After this I will replace the discs with Ate and Ate pads as Ate made the whole brake system.

If the problem then still persists it only leaves the wheel bearings but they have no play at all.

Mind you the Volvo only drove 121.9k KM / 75.7k Miles now
