What was the idea- both the publicly given reasons then also what may have the automotive makes wanted?
When was the program active, and the duration.
Why were perfectly good engines completely seized when they could have be used as salvage replacements? The effects on:
– The Automotive Hobbyist
– Used car availability
– What did happen to the vehicles after they were discarded by their owners: The destruction process.
– The next generation’s “Classics” or highly desired vehicle availability after 15-30 years afterward.
– Thoughts about how sad it was to see perfectly good vehicles destroyed for no good reason.is it likely to happen again since newer cars are last much longer than back in the day. The thoughts of: Hey, Automakers have to sell cars Right? So let’s get the perfectly good old ones off the road again…….
Glad to see that your still posting videos on ETCG1, Thanks Eric, been enjoying them.
