Vibration at acceleration

today before i notice my Brake Pedal issue, I started my car to warm it up. To assist in warming it up I slighly gave it some gas then noticed the violent vibration i have came into effect. This is leading me to believe that a Tyre Balance will not even solve this issue. Before I gave it gas there was no noticable vibration. No vibration before gas is applied. What does it mean?

The CEL is intermedient. Today it wasnt on that i know of. I was in park giving it gas in my driveway as it warmed up. the CEL throws a Camshaft Position Sensor code. But due to symtoms i have the Timing Belt seems to be the most likely culprit.

it could be ur timing causing the vibration but also check to see if ur motor mounts aren’t broken, also whens the last time the spark plugs has been changed? when you buy a used car its obvious to do a complete tune up.

Bought the car brand new. Plugs never changed its only got 42k miles plugs are good for 100k. I do plan on replacing them though. Meant to do that last Summer but never got around to it. That i can do myself not too hard. Dont see how a 42k mileage car could have broken motor mounts i dont even know where they are to check them.

there’s a lot of possibility’s, i wouldnt think the timing belt needed to be changed at 42k miles but who knows.

see thats what get me too reviews say it snaps at 40k miles manual says replace at 60k aquantence has a 2000 Lanos and got over 80k before it snapped.

don’t wait for it to snap, since Daewood are interference engines. i had my timing belt snap on my 03 Hyundai Santa Fe and it was a horrible fix.

It’s not a bad idea to check the timing belt but don’t ignore the easy stuff. Start with any CEL’s that you have and then look to the basics. This video series has some great things to check for performance issues.

As mentioned before the only CEL i have that i know of is P0342 Camshaft Position Sensor, A code a worn timine belt can give. Since the CPS shows no symtoms of being bad.

I think you missed my point. Check the known symptoms first and address those. You have a CEL for a Camshaft Position sensor, you’re assuming it’s because of the timing belt. This may or may not be true but you won’t know until you check the timing belt tension for starters. If that’s OK then you need to further diagnose the cam sensor code. Also, don’t ignore the basics like tune up items. As I said in the last video I posted, “look for simple solutions first”. You can’t properly diagnose something with assumptions and there are no ‘magic bullets’. You have to put some time in in order to have a successful repair.

I’m not sure how to help you then. There are no magic bullets and I can’t repair vehicles by telepathy. If you want to repair the vehicle you’re going to have to do some work to find and repair the problem.
