The good …
The results if you take your time and do it right are amazing.
The bad….
It will take time, locating parts can be an issue at times.
Be prepared for setbacks and hidden surprises. This took me 3 years..
18 months on the body alone..
But well worth it (at least to me)Attachments:January 23, 2016 at 5:45 am #849874nice love it. wish we had them here cheap.

lm not sure about reliabilityJanuary 24, 2016 at 12:11 pm #849962Toyota Soarers are pretty badass. For one, it’s a Toyota. The I6 is a Supra motor, so you could really do whatever your budget would allow.
I believe the V8 is related to the V8 in the LS400, they’re pretty solid. Again, it’s a Toyota. I would imagine though that there would be a glut more parts available for the I6, in terms of both performance and regular items. Not having had an OEM market for them here, it’s really hard for me to do more than speculate on parts availability.
I will say that turbos are fun. I can attest to that.
I’m not too sure how an Aristo is related, but I’m pretty sure it’s the same engine. There’s one for sale near me for almost $9000 http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/toyota-aristo-v300-imported/1131250048?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
January 25, 2016 at 12:06 pm #850051I just restored a 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo 5 speed. Basic performance modifications got it to 230 HP on an inline 4 turbocharged. Toyota’s are good cars to restore. About 3 years and lots of money and hard work.
