Vehicle diagnostics online…Question

Wondering if at some point you would be able to receive data directly from my vehicle over the internet and feed that data into a professional scan tool? Maybe you could charge a nominal amount for this service to offset the cost of the scan tool?

Not likely. The logistics of something like that are impractical. Besides, that’s not what I do. I try and educate YOU in how to interoperate the data on the scan tool rather than spoon feed the answers. This way the next time you’re confronted with an issue, you have some knowledge to draw upon rather than being dependent on me to give you the answers.

Also, many scan tools such as the smart phone apps that I’ve reviewed have access to repair information related to the code the tool pulls. This makes your suggestion somewhat unnecessary because the information is already available. These same tools also have the ability to upload acquired data to forums or other websites to get help with a particular problem. So in a way, what you request is already in existence.
