you could simply unhook the fuel line anywhere it is easy to get to then run it to a gas can. then you just put a jumper wire inplace of the fuel pump relay and let the pump, pump it out.

only other way is pull the gas tank completely out and poor it out of the tank.

Awesome, will do that tomorrow morning, im about to head to work (thank god i have 3 car’s) I just got a new fuel filter also. how would i jump it from the relay? and would there be any long term effects of leaving the stuff in there that did not get pumped out? im sure its water, or some kind of liquid, i dont see someone pouring 2-ish gallons of suger in my tank.

i believe it is pin #30 and pin #87 that you have to jump across.

depends on what if anything els got put in there. water may not be so bad just make it run like crap for awhile till it runs it all threw.

of corse the best thing would be pull the tank and dump it but that is up to you. depending on what was put in there it could kill your pump just pumping it out. for all i know they could of put blech, surger water, diesel fuel heck i don’t know. you could try just pumping a sample out and guess what it is then deside if its worth pulling the tank.

Assuming there are no electrical gremlins causing your issues, I doubt that anyone would have enough patience to dump that much salt or sugar to raise your tank reading by several gallons and it would be near impossible to do without leaving some kind of residue where you could see it.

If anyone did mess with you to raise the gage that much I would suspect water. I would just remove as much as you can and see what happens.

maybe siphon some out and let it sit for a few minutes and see if there is water in the bottom of the container or anything. if you let it sit for way too long it will absorb water from the air.

water is heavier than gas. If it is water and you remove the fuel line
and pump it into a jar. you should see the water.

Why assume you’ve been vandalized? I would go for a good old fashion diagnosis on this one before I say that there’s something in the tank. Check the basics and then look for a fuel contamination issue.
