      Hi all,
I feel I’m at a loss. I have seen Eric’s video on adjusting the valves on a civic and can’t get them right for some reason. I have seen that video and others out there and have heard the feel of the gauges should be like putting oil on your fingers then gripping the gauge with them. Others say it should have enough play for the correct gauge then with the next size up it should not fit. Curious as to if it is the master set that has .01 increments or if they leant another set. I have tried both methods with my 97 HX model and it heats when I’m at a stop. Fan works, no leaks for cooling system and it has new fluid in there with all the air out of it using a spill free funnel. The car didn’t over heat but did get a little warm before adjustment so I know the valves are causing the problem. Do you all have any tips I may try or should I bite the bullet and take it to someone. Thank you for your help.
      Chris

Not sure what to suggest. Maybe you may need help with this one. Take it to someone who has done these Honda adjustments.
        They are tricky.

Yes I had to get my mechanic that I was studying under. We never really had that many vehicles that we could practice on so I never learned them. Guess who ended up with one…. lol thank you for your help
