Valve Cover Gasket Replacement Question….

I’m replacing the valve cover gasket on my 93 civic dx; Do I need to use rtv sealant on the four corners as the Haynes manual suggests or is the replacement gasket enough? If so, what type of permatex should I buy? What color, fast setting, slow setting etc?

Yes you should use RTV on the corners and there’s a good chance that the valve cover kit will include a small tube of RTV in the packaging. A FelPro set likely will, but I can’t say for sure a Victor Reinz gasket set would. If it’s included in the kit, just use that.
