Valve clearance adjustment

What measurement should I adjust my vales to the service Manuel gives me 0.007-0.009for intake and 0.009-0.011 for exhaust should I just go in-between the two help

I would say hit the middle.. and yes, try the bigger and smaller. If having trouble, you are better off staying in loose side. Tight valves clearance can burn out the valve and can cause engine damage.

Someone told me that I should adjust it to the smaller measurement then make sure the other one won’t fit

Thanks Eric I checked the valves theyre with in specs a so I took it to a shop they said it’s the lifters they want to charge me 150 for adjusting them and this includes a new gasket and new oil u think this is a good price

Yea knowing the vehicle you were working on would have been a great help as not may vehicles have adjustable valves only those that have ‘solid’ valvetrains, most vehicles use hydraulic valvetrains that are not adjustable.
