Valve adjustment

      I want to adjust my valves I’ve seen Eric’s video on this I have a j series engine on my 2001 honda accord ex.What I’m wondering to what to set the valves lash under the hood it says intake 0.22+0.02mm and exhaust says 0.30+0.02mm Im wondering where are these specs on my feeler gauge any feed back much appreciated

        The numbers are right on the feelers themselves…. Also ensure you do it when it tells you (I.E. Checked/Adjusted when the engine is Hot or Cold)….

                Those numbers are printed right on the feeler gauges themselves as pointed out. That said the spec is +or – .002mm so don’t look for that number on the gauge. That’s just how much tolerance is built into the spec.

                That said, if your engine isn’t noisy, I’d recommend that you don’t adjust the valves. In the end you could cause more harm than good if you don’t get the valves just right.
